Instant Tears

First of all, I would like to state that I am a straight guy in early 20s. Now here is a list of small things that make me cry and I am not talking about long movies or even full songs but just the bits and part that hit you and make you feel like someone just took chicken pizza off of your plate.
  • The Airtel ad.
  • The line: "The scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequitted love." Yes, I'm re-re-re-re-reading it.
  • In the song Everybody Hurts by R.E.M., when the camera focuses on the old man and the caption reads, "She's gone".
  • Debra in ELR series finale.
There are a lot more in this category but I don't note them down. As for the reason why I am talking about all this, its pretty simple. I am going to kolkata after a pretty long time. And they said, "Marriage was tough."

De Young Basanti

One of my friends Nikhil recently made a documentary and he was capable enough to get it screened in few local theaters. He sent a copy to me for review and let me start by saying that he is no Herzog but still he is the only one I know who took the pains of actually making a formal documentary and getting in screened not just on the LANs but in theaters. The runtime is 24:36 which isn't too long but with quotes from Shawshank, a PYT in yellow and a lot of innocent honest statements make it worth a watch. If you want more info or a copy for yourself you can contact the guys behind it at this blog.

Misty Mountain Hop

Few things that I did not know about Gangtok:
  • Beef is more popular than Aloo
  • Daru is not that cheap out there. Goa is better.
  • You will find snow only if you go a little further up than Gangtok, not like Manali.
  • Kanchanjunga is visible from Hotel Yatung Room No.303
  • Chinki taxi-drivers have bad taste in music when compared to the north-indian counterparts.
  • There are dark, very dark chinkis.

And this pic conveys my feeling about the trip in a proper manner:

Will upload more pics soon on this blog or somewhere else.

Trip again...

And this time I ain't talking about LSD. I am going on a real trip to Gangtok. I know that the first four letters of Gangtok might remind you of a familiar territory but I think it is off the cards because of the elite sophesticated non-smoking, non-drinking company that I have. I never understood the concept of travelling for fun. Frankly speaking it just doesn't make any sense to me to wander around just to look at some stones and drops of water. I just feel like quoting Charlie here when he said, "Sand is over-rated, its just a bunch of tiny little rocks".
Trip to Allahabad was good because we won a few quizzes there but otherwise it was hugely disappointing. Cheating is a common phenomenon in quizzes but it is sad when the organisers do it and that also in the open. Its even worse when they cheat and don't even qualify for the finals. The prize money that was promised has been reduced (again). Couple of events were cancelled and prizes from a few others were withdrawn. NIT Durgapur, which is considered to be a college of lesser repute than MNNIT Allahabad had conducted things in a much better manner. But well, at least they managed to conduct a quiz fest. Something which people at Kharagpur tried to do but were not able to do.
One question to girls who think they are good looking, "Do you think that if you look good, you have the right to do anything? Do you have the right to blow off appointments? Do you think being rude is a part of your charm? " No one was rude to me but I saw it with my own eyes. I can't write about it in detail because I am still to confront her about the situation and how she humiliated my friend. If you are reading this, trust me... Its not going to be nice. I just don't get this.
Tere ishq mai main kya kya na bana ishina,
Kabhi bana kutta, kabhi bana kamina.... (Had to rhyme)...

WAAAH WAAAH WAAAH WAAAH!!!!!
It is just a PJ.. no hidden agendas.
